Introduction

The Dinner-On-Line (DOL) is an initiative that GECAB Company in Sweden has strategized to implement to enhance the delivery of food services to consumers. The management sees the home delivery of the foodstuff and the services from the restaurant as an initiative that will create a competitive advantage for the company over the competitors. As such, the paper describes the initiatives that the management needs to take to develop the control and follow-up plan for the execution of the IT project of DOL to enable the company to continue food delivery to the consumers for the enhancement of competitive advantage.

Document handling and the spread of the information

Document handling has become the most crucial aspect in the management of the information in the company to create a Dinner online project. The Dinner-on-line project is a technique through which the CECAB Company can easily reach the consumers through the door-to-door initiative hence creative competitive advantage over other companies. The GECAB Company has enhanced the Dinner online initiative by creating profitable technological models for the sustainable delivery of resources to consumers. As such, GECAB should implement the profitable document handling technique to mitigate the loss of information and enhances the credibility of the information that the company requires for the sustainable management of the resources and the implementation of the plans. The company should employ contemporary technology to efficiently handle the document to avoid the vices like the loss of information (Casey & Wong, 2020). Also, human resources management in innovation and development should create a system through which the innovators and the technology department use credible criteria to attain information that enhances sustainable data use. After the successful application of digital technology in the storage of data, the CECAB should avoid saving unnecessary documents and follow consistent methods of naming the files and the folders. Also, the company should store the related documents together using digital classification methods to avoid confusion in the data management criteria. Avoiding overfilling the folders should be employed to enhance the accuracy and the effective management of the data system. Consequently, the documents should be organized by the date and time frame for the effective retrieval of the information, hence ease of reference. The digital copies of the paper documents should become implemented to enhance the adequate referencing and the digitization of the management of the historical sources.

A concern on the spread of information has been an issue of detriment to the growth of GECAB Company. The poor management of the information system resulted in the employees losing morale and enthusiasm since the consumers decreased to a non-imaginable level. The ineffective management of information is characterized by poor internal communication between the employees and the management. As such, the organization should adopt formal communication that enhances the exchange of information, like the goals, procedures and policies that define the organization (Zahir Irani, 2000). An example of formal communication in technology that the business should apply is using effective business plans, strategic goals and annual general reports that examine the company’s growth and development (Marchand et al., 2002). Also, workplace safety and guidelines characterize the company engagement network that enables the human resources to strategize the need for the comprehensive growth of the company. Also, the company should deduce a way of delivering the official business messages in relaxed criteria like the conversation at work involving the team members during moments like lunch conversations.

Moreover, implementing the project diary on the Dinner Online Project will provide a meaningful duration that the management may require for the project implementation. Dinner Online Project will create a systematic approach through which the company will compete favorably with other competitors hence acting as a mechanism for attaining a competitive advantage (Zahir Irani, 2000). Implementing the diary enables the company to reach the management goals of enhancing continuity with the project plan. Notably, the project diary remains a written record defining the significant activities that the managers and the employees, in general, should consider to enhance the sustainable implementation of the project. The Dinner Online project staff should keep a project diary to record the business insights and experiences that define the project planning and implementation. As such the diaries will provide accurate guides on the time commitment that may be required for the present and future project design.

Follow Up Procedures

GECAB should conduct the follow-up procedures to ensure that the project implementation meets the objectives’ standards. The follow-up procedures of the DOL project should start by identifying the prospect’s interest. After identifying the prospectus interest, the managers should create a roadmap connecting the prospects on the schedule. The follow-up sequences should follow to engage and establish the connection between the consumers and the employees (Korhonen, 2020). Furthermore, the [prospects should be recorded by the management through a technological framework for easy referencing.

Time Reporting

The follow-up procedures on-time reporting by GECAB should be adopted to implement time reporting frameworks easily. As such, the company should adopt time tracking using the timer and the filing timesheet to attain the time management criteria. Also, the CECAF should continue using manual time trackers to enable the workers to adjust favorably to the new implementations characterized by the induction of the technical criteria of time management (Correspondent, 2019). The On-Line dinner project requires time management to enable the workforce to reach the consumers’ expectations that the foods are at appropriate times. Notably, the Dinner-Online project should prohibit tracking everything in the management of humans and the resources in the production of foodstuff in the company. In enabling the GECAB to create a strategic model of attaining the rationale time reporting model, the human resource management should audit the time once a week to check the correct labelling of the time and the timetable (Correspondent, 2019). As such, the proper labelling of time will set hourly rates by assigning the monetary values in providing online food delivery to the consumers at monetary values per the estimated hourly rates.

Cost Reporting and Forecasting

The cost reporting determines the criteria through which the GECAB can determine the appropriate measures for handling the customer service delivery at the doorstep. Delivering foodstuff through the online criteria requires cost reporting and forecast, which should be determined from the perspective of supply chain integration. As such, the GECAB management should employ buyer-centric integration, which enables the buyer to seek to streamline the corporation (Hilorme et al., 2019). The corporation suggests that the buyer should accept the greater dependency on the supplier to enable the organization to look for a return on investment through greater customer loyalty and satisfaction. Also, the company should ensure that the buyer integrates the supply chain to enable the supplier to lack options other than meeting the customer requirements, leveraging the inve4stments while serving other customers. Consequently, the GECAB should ensure that the Diner-Online Project managers are keen and can innovate for the practical offering of the foodstuff services to the consumers. As such, the company should supply the inventory replenishment services, reducing the customers’ need to devote resources to reordering the foodstuff. Moreover, the GECAB management should employ collaboration-centric integration to increase the corporation between the buyer and the supplier of the DOL project. As such, the buyer and the supplier have a common interest in integrating technology for business development and enhancing the supply chain’s efficiency. Therefore, the supplier and the buyer can comprehensively understand one another. Notably, using the technology initiative to enhance the collaborative-centric integration enables the company to respond to the buyer’s needs by providing differentiated services to the consumers.

Most importantly, the use of technological forecasting should be implemented by the company to predict the usefulness of the machines, which would logistically analyze the production. After the analysis, the technology will create a quantitative conclusion defining the technological attributes (Hilorme et al., 2019). Technological forecasting differs from the usual traditional attributes because it defines the technological opinions of the contemporary nature of the business. The company should integrate different dimensions of sales determinants using technological initiatives to enhance technology in forecasting the sale policies of the foodstuff to the customers. The major technological initiative the management should employ to enhance the continuity of the DOL project is the application of exploratory techniques.

Follow Up on the Project Objectives and Deliverables

The product objectives of delivering the foods to the consumers should be implemented using the appropriate channels to address the emerging challenges. As such, the GECACB management needs to use contemporary technological initiatives to enhance the supply of food products to consumers. The managers should develop the metrics for tracking and monitoring the CSF data (Hilorme et al., 2019). Before monitoring the data, the manger s should know the critical success that defines online food delivery to the consumers. As such, the CECAB employees should employ the data reporting procedures that are useful in collecting specific data. Also, the goals and measures should be available to establish the goals of creating a DL for the online delivery of food and services to consumers.

Change Management Procedures

Change management procedures are helpful for the GECAB to create structured approaches in guiding individuals and team workers to the changes that need implementation within the industry. As such, it plays a pivotal role in conceptualizing the implemented changes. The technology can be used in implementing online food supply change management through innovative approaches that create an enabling environment that promotes the sales and distribution of online foodstuffs. Therefore, it plays a vital role in reducing resistance and improving communication to address the challenges that the company administration inherits from the previous management (Galli, 2018). Notably, the leaders always assume that the employees and the customers are always ready for the new changes in technology implementation to facilitate DOL. To mitigate the assumption, the company should prepare the personnel to create an enabling environment for implementing the changes. Using the technological change criteria will enable the company to achieve the most valuable technological investments while enhancing the personnel engagement and motivation of the workforce.

The management should adopt the internet, big data and the blockchain to implement the food supply chain. Using the food supply network generated by the food supply chain will inspect the online deliveries and the food ecosystem securities. Notably, the food supply chains remain interconnected for monitoring the mechanism of delivering the products to the consumers (Galli, 2018). Also, the internet and technology initiatives will provide the mechanism of tracing the products hence assisting the customers in getting the information about the products which get delivered to them by the company. Applying the food supply chain will create transparency by delivering robust information about the foods to the clients and the related information and data that covers the relevant stakeholders.

The management of GECAB should adopt several approaches to create a sustainable food supply for the consumers. Firstly, they should prepare the organization for the changes that exhibit technology integration in the supply of foodstuffs to the consumers. GECAC management should create logical and cultural preparations when implementing the changes. The manager should focus on helping the employees and understand the need to integrate the technological changes in the food supply to the consumers (Galli, 2018). The preparation should entail raising awareness of the challenges and problems the organization has faced to general dissatisfaction with food delivery to the consumers.

Secondly, the management should craft the vision and plans for changes resulting in the DOL’s implementation. The plans should be realistic to bring about the frameworks that the entire employee agrees upon through qualitative and quantitative analysis. Also, the company should determine the key performance indicators that determine the measurement criteria of the implemented changes (Rosenbaum et al., 2018). Consequently, the craft vision and plans for the changes will identify the project stakeholders and the team who will oversee the technological task implementation and the changes by signing off the critical stages in the implementation of the DOL. The implementation process should continue to define the person responsible for the DOL by granting him or her powers to use the resources to create an environment where the company will activate the competitive advantage over the other companies.

After creating the plan, the managers should implement the changes by following the steps required to initiate the technological frameworks that will enhance the delivery of the foods to the customers using the detailed information underlying the DOL project. During the implementation, the change managers must empower the employees in order for them to take the necessary steps to achieve the technological initiative of enhancing the DOL project. Also, the employees should do their best to mitigate the roadblocks by preventing, removing and eradicating dimesons (Galli, 2018). The repeated communication concerning the organization’s vision should be made critical throughout the process of implanting the technological initiative of the food supply and the management of the resources and services.

The managers should continue to embed the changes with the company culture and practices. The changes should not go against the practices and the culture of the GECAC organization that strives to implement DOL to deliver healthy meals to consumers through technological initiatives. The culture includes the workflow, the strategies and the employees’ motivation plans of the organization (Rosenbaum et al., 2018). Notably, embedding the technological changes in the supply of the foods to the consumers through the DOL project will prevent backsliding hence creating a framework for the generation of the new structures of the organization, reward system and control, which act as a tool for the implementation of sustainable technology in the supply of food to the consumers.

Furthermore, the management of GECAC should review the progress and analyze the results created by implementing the DOL to reach the consumers to attain a competitive advantage. As such, the business leaders will have a comprehensive understanding of the benefit of the DOL integration in the supply of prepared meals to the consumers (Rosenbaum et al., 2018). It can also offer lessons and valuable insights that leverage future efforts to the technological changes.

Quality Management Procedures

The implementation of DOL to provide quality services to the consumers by the GECAB Company requires a quality management procedure that will create a strategic framework for the induction of information technology in the organization. As such, the managers are required to define and map the processes for implementing the DOL. Definition and mapping of the DOL will enable the company to outline the strategic processes by implementing the SWOT analysis to deliver the food to the consumers. Also, managers should define their quality policies to enhance communication (Bacoup et al., 2018). The definition of the quality policies should also determine the consumers’ needs and the quality missions. As such, the service and the food providers should consider the commitment towards the regeneration of the customer focus hence creating quality and customer satisfaction for the continuous improvement of the foodstuff delivered to the consumers.

The management should define the quality objectives of developing and launching the services that will bring the cooked meals from the favourite restaurants to the people’s homes. Bringing the cooked meals from the favourite restaurant will enable the company to target the market hence being considered by the consumers as the best producers (Bacoup et al., 2018). The quality objectives may also define the critical success factors that will enable the organization to emphasize the journey towards accomplishing the mission of situating the DOL project. Notably, the definition of the quality objectives conceptualizes the performance-based factors that will enable the organization o to comply with the objectives. The critical success factors in implementing the technological-based DOL that the management should emphasize are product quality, market share, customer satisfaction, process improvement and employee satisfaction.

Most importantly, the management should define the defects of every process. The defects are construed as the non-conformances that occur in the product flaws and the process deficiencies. In a defect occurrence, the organization should measure and correct the detriment by determining the operation volumes, highlighting the defects in the processes and the products, defining the process for recording the defects and creating a process of reporting the defects in a unique format. The organization should continue to develop the documents and records by creating mandatory documents on the information as per the business model (Bacoup et al., 2018). The development of the documents and records should crate the essential quality procedures and policies, providing a path for developing helpful information with a significant format. Other criteria through which the management should employ the quality management procedures art the determination of the employee’s training needs and the use of the quality management system to track the movement of goods and services to the consumers. The use of the quality management system will create a framework for the collection of the non-conformant.

Risk Management procedures

The risk management procedures which the GECAC Company should employ are based on the processes that enhance the sustainable supply of food to the consumers using the DDOL project. The objectives of the DOL should be outlined for the generation of risk management plans. Also, the risk should be identified and evaluated for the generation of plans that mitigate the risk (Buganová & Šimíčková, 2019). Furthermore, the managers should employ strategic management to generate feedback from the consumers that are helpful in the determination of the appropriate measures in the service delivery.

Conclusion

Implementation of the DOL requires the management to create a strategic procedure to enhance consumer and company engagement. Moreover, create a competitive advantage. As such, the management should determine the appropriate document handling techniques characterized by the project diaries. The GECAB management should also undertake the follow-up procedures through time reporting, cost reporting and forecasting using the technological framework, and the follow-up on the product objectives and the deliverables. Other processes which the managers should employ are the change management procedures, the quality management procedures and the risk management procedures to enable GECACB to productively implement the DOL project that will create a framework for the delivery of food to the consumers at homestead from the restaurants.
